Return of the Ham Radio Operator...
It's been at least 10 years since I've operated a Ham Radio station from a non-vacation location.
(I was the kid who always took his radio equipment and antennas along on the long family vacations...this shouldn't surprise anyone who knows me...)
After a long gap in being "radio active", except for my recent
Digial Ham Radio experiences, I found the thrill of stringing out a wire antenna, plugging it into the back of a rig and being able to scan 80, 40 and 20 meters and just listen to the stations on the air a thrilling experience for me.
This weekend I hope to be back "on the air."
