German Regulators looking at VoIP

RegTP - the German Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications and Post today launched a "public consultation" on VoIP seeking comments on a range of IP Communication related issues by June 18.

RegTP is seeking input on many of the same issues currently being explored by the United States and other Governments.

Issues being explored include:
the regulatory classification of VoIP, the use of numbers, universal service, emergency services, and the German equivalent of CALEA.
