No Wi-Fi, No Broadband, No Jeff!
My new position on staying at hotels/motels that don't offer either Wi-Fi or Broadband internet access.
Just say no!

All Hail Jeff !
My favorite No WiFI, No Broadband experience.
I was booked into the Doubletree Buckhead last year for a client related event in Atlanta. I chose the hotel being Hilton Honors loyal. Got to the hotel had WiFi in the lobby.
Got to my room, the signal was existant only in the restroom...not the ideal place to be working for a variety of reasons. I considered a potentially shocking experience and did not want to be a candidate for the Darwin awards.
The hotel moved me to another room. That one didn't have any coverage even in the bathroom, but the elevator area got great reception.
The idea of surfing and working by the elevator seems to give me the impression I was getting the shaft from the hotel management who told me they used to have wired high speed in the rooms but the WiFi company removed those connections as part of the Wireless project.
I called Hilton Honors and the moved me to the Emabassy Suites near the World Congress Center. I lost out on the great dining in Buckhead. I got WiFi and stayed in better hotel. Hilton Honors gets the idea of Customer Service. As for the Buckhead Doubletree....well, lets just say No.

Now THAT has the makings of a T-shirt I would wear. Perhaps a small tweak, for universality's sake, to: "No Wi-Fi, No Broadband, No Way!"
