ISPCON Keynote: VoIP Opportunities for ISPs
In a few hours I will be giving one of the keynote talks at Fall 2004 ISPCON.
During the talk, I will be taking a look at the state of VoIP, the state of the "Mobile Internet" and looking at the intersection of both as a place where some ISPs may be able to derive incremental revenue in 2005 and beyond.

When are you planning on releasing a Linux version of your communicator?
Nice talk, by the way. I'm looking forward to the day when the "how" of communication is a lot less interesting than the "what".
The first question, about Quality of Service, pointed out a huge problem, which I thought you missed. If the endpoints are unreliable (Windows computers), then there isn't anything the ISP can do to fix it. Until the QoS reaches into the endpoint, that sort of problem, where they can't get dialtone, will continue.
Thanks for the talk!

Will you be making available a whote paper on your talk?
BTW,, Whats a person gotta do to make sure I have all the equiptment I need to have VoIP? The more I look into this the more I get confused. How about KISS (keep it simple sweetie) method to all this VoIP stuff.
IE:
If you have this, _______ you will need this to make it work. etc. etc etc.
