Another EvDO Day...

This morning my vacation is taking a short hiatus as I'm flying from Scottsdale to the San Francisco Bay Area for the day.

Having learned from my last day trip to California, I fully expect to take advantage of my EvDO service during the day.

The alternative for me is to be offline literally all day, and have to sort thru at least 1,000 emails.

Given the choice, I'll take the EvDO. :-)

jeff,

the 5220 card will work w/ the PowerBook's just fine. It worked on my G3 Lombard 400 and G4 1Ghz Ti no prob. 10.3.4 (no tiger) OSX, but I hear 9.x too. Looking to pick up one of your WiFi handsets soon. I think I may have spoken to your brother about a year ago but who knows maybe it was you.. speaking of handsets, we manufacture the same thing here but with half-duplex operation (PTT, or P2T as nextel would like me to say) anyways good luck

Jeff,

EVDO doesn't exist in the Bay Area (YET). It's the slower 1xRTT.

Like you, I'm frustrated by that, as I've renewed my EVDO account with Verizon last week as it works all the way from San Diego to the top end of Los Angeles as well as in other places where I frequent.

The big reason though I reupped is the 5220 card will work on my Mac Powerbook.

Now if VerizonWireless would only get this working in the Bay Area and Sacramento, I'd be a very happy camper.
