LIVE 8 available on AOL Music Starting at 8AM EST July 2nd

I still remember watching Live Aid on MTV all day and into the night twenty years ago during the Summer of 1985.

Watching Phil Collins play at Wembley Stadium, take the Concord to New York, then a helicopter to Phili and play JFK Stadium was pretty amazing. Twenty years later, I'm looking forward to spending time listening to LIVE 8 on AOL Music and watching MTV's coverage of the concerts taking place around the world. This is one time I wish I had access to live satellite feeds from around the world so that I could try to catch some of the coverage from the various Live 8 venues that MTV doesn't find interesting.

During the week I tried to get "Blogging access" to blog the Phili Live 8 tomorrow but that didn't work out...so I will be watching the event from the friendly confines of my living room.

It will be interesting to see how the advent of the commercial internet will add to the overall experience of the event tomorrow. For starters, I will be looking to the page on Technorati.

Another Q: Has anyone seen a detailed Live 8 lineup (showing approximate times or order of performance)...I will be listening on XM, which will be covering the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Canada feeds on separate channels?

Is there any live coverage of the Tokyo Live 8...it gets started in about two hours (0500GMT)?

It feels like just yesterday when I was sleeping out front of JFK anxiously awaiting Live Aid. What an incredible day. I was so sad because Phil Collins was performing in England and when I realized he would be playin in Philly as well, I flipped. The entire day was absolutely incredible. It is one of those memories that is as close to me today as it was twenty years ago. I only wish I could be there tomorrow in Philly. Sir Bob still rocks and his humanitarian efforts are not recognized in the manner to which they should be. His efforts to change the world can work if everyone wakes up and sees that suffering can be replaced when kind hearts come together and lend a hand. Tomorrow will prove to be the begining of a new future for those in need and the proof that rock-n-roll will never die.
