Google Talk: Another Quick Look
During a long day of being in transit from London back to New York, I had a chance to take another look at Google Talk and I have used it for a number of IM chats and voice conversations with friends.
My quick take aways:
- Googlesq in design. Lightweight, Simple.
- Integrated into Gmail and Gmail Address book. Nice.
- Signal Strength meter. Interesting.
- Free form Presence Status (like Yahoo!)
- Still missing some very basic IM/Voice features.
- Don't like seeing the ads.

What Ads??? From the Google Talk "About" page:
11. Do I see ads when I use Google Talk?
We aren't showing any ads on Google Talk. There are no pop-ups or clutter—just a clean and simple interface to make it easy for you to communicate instantly with your friends
