Men’s Day in Creemore, Ontario:
In December I received an invitation to celebrate "Men's Day" in Creemore, Ontario for a day of skiing with a few friends from: BCE Capital, Bell Canada and Bell Mobility.
On Thursday morning I flew up to Toronto and spent a few great hours with Lavalife. (Thank you Steve!) In the late afternoon I left to catch up with the BCE Capital team. After driving 100 kilometers or so north of Toronto, I ended up at a “Bed and Breakfast” Inn a few miles away from Devil's Glenn.
One thing that I never thought about once I made my travel arrangements to spend the night in Creemore was whether or not my connectivity needs would be taken care of. The Inn had great accommodations for their guests, but I guess I assumed that I would either have broadband/Wi-Fi or some other connectivity options. Oh well, my mistake. While I would not have knowingly spent the night in a place without broadband internet access, I ended up enjoying my forced vacation from the “Always On” world and took advantage of the time to just relax, play some poker and take in the surroundings.
