June 3rd 2006: Giants vs. Mets: Rainy Day at Shea
Yesterday I went to Shea Stadium for the Mets / Giants game and to see Barry Bonds for what many believe to be his last trip to Shea as a Giants player.
While I arrived early enough to see batting practice, at 12.30pm all that I was able to see was the rain. A game which had an original starting time of 1.25pm didn't start until 4pm due to the 2 1/2 hour rain delay. By the time I left after the end of the first game of a double header it was 7.30. At least the game wasn't interrupted by the rain which had drizzled intermittently throughout the entire game. The Mets ended up losing the first game 6-4 but they were in it the entire time. After spending the day at Shea admittedly it was great to be at home and watch the Mets win the second game of the night in a 11 inning 3-2 victory.
While I was at Shea I used both the D2X with the 80-400mm zoom. and the D70 with the 28-200mm zoom.
