Mets Continue their Winning Ways…

The 2006 edition of the New York Mets have been a fun team to watch both at Shea and on the road. Last night's 10-6 win over the Diamondbacks on a night when Steve Trachsel wasn't at his best, yielded yet another good win. Watching Carlos Beltran and Carlos Delgado each hit two home runs just added to the fun.

So far this season, the 2006 Mets are a different breed than past Mets teams of recent memory. These Mets play with a confidence that I haven’t seen in a long time. While they are neither the Mets of 1986 nor the Mets of 2000, the Mets of 2006 are a team that I hope will still be playing meaningful baseball games in late August and September.
