VON Israel 2006: Day 1 (Recap and Images)
The first day of VON Israel 2006 brought together a community of over 1,000 people representing quite a number of companies from the IP Communications ecosystem. Jonathan Askin spent the day introducing and moderating the discussions with a little help from Avi Weiss. It was great to see some of our VON alumni speak yesterday including: Alistair Woodman, Cisco; Paul Bloom, IBM; Lior Aldema, Audiocodes and Shai Gerstner, Alcatel. I also enjoyed the information shared by Baruch Gidin, Gartner and Dr. Assaf Cohen from the Ministry of Communications.
I also enjoyed the opportunity to reflect on the past 10 year history of our VON events and share some of my thoughts for both the future of voice over the IP and the evolution of "Video on the Net." Yesterday I once again met with quite a few start-ups and enjoyed seeing a number of familiar faces in our conference audience and in the VON exhibits.
