Mets vs. Red Sox Game II: Mets Lose 10-2
Not even Pedro was able to save the Mets from losing to the Red Sox.
Last night, after the Red Sox fans warmly greeting the returning Pedro Martinez, it was the bats of Boston that spoke early and often that clearly demonstrated that maybe Pedro should have taken last night off. By the time he was chased from the mound, the Mets were behind eight runs.
Lastings Milledge should be worried about being hit by lightning twice in a row. After making the blooper highlight reel for his work in left field on Tuesday night, Lastings Milledge once again proved why he shouldn't be playing left field at Fenway Park when he made another costly error playing left field.
By the time the Met's pitcher Oliver entered the game in the fourth inning the damage was already done and unlike Tuesday night, the Mets were never really in this game.
