Mets Grand Slam Fashion Statement Continues. Mets Beat Astros 7-0.

For some reason, the Mets have had trouble making the transition from being on the road to playing at home. It was great to watch the Mets win the first game of a home stand for the first time since the end of May.

Last night belonged to both Mets starter John Maine who earned his first National League win with a four hit shutout and to Jose Valentin whose second inning Grand Slam gave the Mets the lead and they never looked back.

While it was great to see the Mets hit their 4th grand slam in five games, this is one of those "enjoy them while they happen" moments for these dynamic and amazing 2006 New York Mets who continue to maintain a 13 game lead in front of the Braves and the Phillies.

Let's Go Mets!
