Mets pull off 10th Inning Victory over Cubs

So far this season the Mets have not lost more than three games in a row. And after losing two straight to the Cubs, after losing to the Astros on Sunday, having given up 24 runs over those three games in the process, the Mets were in need of a win. It was great to see the Mets bounce back with their pitching and shut out the Cubs 1-0 in ten innings.

Looks like the Mets season will be put to a test when they play the Braves this weekend in Atlanta. The Braves have been on a roll and are well on their way to going over .500 and making a run in the wild card race.

For the sake of the Mets 2006 season, as the trading deadline nears, I do hope the Mets are able to find a way to add strength to their current pitching rotation as well as to their farm system.
