Hillary, Bill and Jon Bon Jovi Visit and Play in East Hampton
Last night, I was in East Hampton and caught an acoustic performance given by Jon Bon Jovi at a fund raiser in support of Senator Hillary Clinton’s reelection. The event took place at the East Hampton estate of Bill Nuti, CEO, NCR, and over 500 people attended the event.
While I was just there to just take in the music and see the ex-President, I ran into Greg and Lauren Manning, friends of mine when I was at Cantor Fitzgerald back in 1993-1996.
Jon Bon Jovi, two weeks out from playing his sold out Giants Stadium shows with Bon Jovi, played five songs last night and only three of them were his own. Given the setting, I found his song selections...well, interesting. Maybe he was trying to share a meta-message with the audience. Or maybe I was just looking too much into the music.

- Living on a Prayer
- Wanted Dead or Alive
- Who Says You can't go home
- Here Comes the Sun
After the show, Jon Bon Jovi introduced President Clinton who introduced Hillary. After the music and after the speeches, before he left the room, President Clinton worked the audience and even shook my hand. :)
In the end, it was a brilliant night under and with the stars in East Hampton, New York.
Waiting...
