I've Been Rocketboomed!
Last week I had the pleasure of sitting down with Joanne Colan from Rocketboom. They posted the interview today.
The full interview lasted for about an hour and covered the history of the world of pulver.com (Part 1) from 1994-present, as well as providing what I humbly thought was a pretty lucid glimpse of the future of ”Video on the Net”. The interview segment on Rocketboom today only covers the past and not much of the future vision. I guess/hope this means that folks will have to come to the Fall 2006 VON and Video on the Net Conferences to hear first hand where Internet communications, particularly disruptive video, might be heading.
To Rocketboom's credit (but to my dismay), the interview included no blatant product placements, like the fact that the VON and Video on the Net conferences are just days away (hmm, I guess I mentioned this above --I guess I have no problems with blatant self-promotion within my own blog).
There are bonus clips on the Rocketboom site that do go into the substantive issues and vision in more detail. See: hi-tech c.e.o. poker for charity, building the von conference and internet political activism.

VOIP and such techs are great, but you think there's gonna be a solid market for it? It's only two generations left who don't know to make their Own software to communicate for free over Internet.
I think there's no money in this in 10 years.
