pulver.tv: MeeVee CEO Michael Raneri (Released from Embargo)
pulver.tv: MeeVee's CEO Michael Raneri
Michal Raneri, MeeVee's CEO recently visited pulver.tv and spoke about a new version of their website, a short time before MeeVee launched their new website.
Personally I would have liked to have run this episode right after it was filmed and edited (pre-Video on the Net), but the PR folks representing MeeVee contacted us and asked us to hold the interview "under embargo." But why? While I appreciate the nod that a MeeVee competitor might be a fan of pulver.tv and might have seen their 2 min 9 sec segment prior to the release of the embargo and would have changed their strategy, who were they kidding? Or maybe it was because a news organization would have seen the segment and they would have broken the news in front of the formal announcement? Turns out that maybe they should have let us run with this early to build up their buzz. At last check, I found only three "news stories" linked to the launch of the new MeeVee website.
- CNET: TV directory MeeVee: Nice, but just skin deep
- ClickZ News: MeeVee Upgrades
- Blogcritics: MeeVee Dishes Personalized TV Listings Via Widgets
Note to self: Going forward, pulver.tv should consider only agreeing to do interviews that we can run as soon as we are finished with the editing process.

The new version doesnt work at all for me and many others I know, I get no channels, and even when I change zip & provides just to see something, I get nothing.
Bad change, to not work for so many!
