Sorry to see my prediction about Pedro come true...
Back on December 18, 2004 I wrote about The end of Pedro Martinez's Career!.
As a reminder, what I wrote back then was "The Boston Red Sox 'curse' may have been the most famous curse to be recently broken, but one that also exists which is rarely discussed outside of New York is the curse placed on just about any free agent player who is signed by the New York Mets and/or traded to the Mets during their career.
In almost every situation, whenever a high profile person moved to the Mets, this was a foreshowing of the end of the person's career...and in almost every case the person's performance in New York never lived up to the expectations."
So much for being able to benefit from the experience of Pedro in the postseason.
