The ANGST of a Mets Fan; Cards beat Mets 9-6 in Game 2 NLCS

Bats - The Baseball Post Season Blog: N.C.L.S Games 2, Mets vs. Cardinals

"It was a great game — for eight innings. So now the Mets can enjoy a little Yankee angst, going into a hostile stadium tied at 1. Though of course it’s not quite the same, the Mets having the luxury of a seven-game series. In any case, check in tomorrow, when Joaquin Andujar starts for the Cards, Dwight Gooden takes the mound for the Mets, and someone who’s actually qualified to do this will presumably be providing your commentary here on the BATS blog..."

Once again Shea Stadium was alive with Mets fans standing up at times for every pitch and every at bat. And while the game was going slow and it wasn't the warmest of nights, overall things were going fine at Shea last night for the first eight innings of the game. The Mets were not able to recover from the work of Billy Wagner in the 9th inning. Below are some images from the first 8 innings when the Mets fans at Shea were still having fun.

Game 3 of the NCLS will be taking place tonight in St. Louis. I have confidence that these Mets will bounce back and dominate the Cardinals over the next three games.

Lets Go Mets!
