Last Night @ pulver.com/Network2 Networking Event in NYC:
Last night we held our first pulver.com/Network2 Networking Event at the Proof Bar in Manhattan. While I was expecting that fifty to sixty percent of the hundred people who RSVP'ed to the event to attend, during the course of the evening we ended up having close to 200 people visit with us. For more than a moment we had the who’s who in New York New Media at our inaugural event.
At the Proof Bar we had people representing various parts of the media ecosystem. There were a number of people representing what can be best called "new-new media companies", new media companies and old-media companies. There were a number of start-ups represented as well a few lawyers and even a couple of VCs in attendance.
It was great to see so many people come out in support of Network2 and Video on the Net. Some of the people who I met were people directly responsible for creating/developing/producing high quality independent episodic content for the Internet...shows either already on Network2 or soon to be on Network2.
Chris Brogan and I appreciated the lengths that some people had gone through to be with us last night. I met people who were visiting from: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Philly, Boston and the metro NYC area.
Special thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the event last night. I am looking forward to co-hosting additional networking events in the future.

Thanks guys for a fun event. I had some great conversations and drank some of the best Diet Coke I've had in a long time (I'm usually a Pepsi guy). It's always a pleasure to mingle with passionate people.
I didn't get a chance to chat with and meet you personally, Jeff, before you had to leave. Next time.
That Brogan sure looks slick in a turtle neck and blazer.
