Jeff Pulver REMOVED from Wikipedia!

Well, sometime during the past six hours, someone removed the Jeff Pulver entry in Wikipedia.

While I wasn't the one who created the entry in Wikipedia, I've enjoyed being listed in it since January 2005.

Sometime yesterday someone requested that I should be "speedily deleted" from it. And now I'm gone.

The moderators at Wikipedia are ridiculous. They are anything but objective and continually abuse the speck of power they somehow obtained. It's insane.

I've given up adding to wikipedia now, since officious admins often declare things to be 'out of process' and summarily delete the content without warning or recourse anyway. The wikipedia rule book is too big for anyone to understand and policed by zealots enjoying their little bit of power like traffic wardens. It's just plain nuts.

I found it useful in my work, so I recreated the page, and left my full contact information in case anyone wants to contact me regarding my decision to repost it.

Of course, I'm nearly certain someone will delete it forthwith, but I'm hoping they'll give me an e-mail before they do explaining their reasoning.

Wikipedia being what it is, can't you just undelete it?

Truth by consensus is a terrible thing. ...may as well take advantage of it, though.

Yeah, it’s happened to other people too, and not necessarily just to completely unknown (read: known to a handful people) bloggers, either, which would actually be justified :/

I mean effin hell, you /are/ VON, pretty much. That is something.

What Wikipedia taketh, Wikipedia giveth.

I'm not surprised that this happened. There seems to be some underground campaign to remove bloggers and podcasters from Wikipedia. So, you're not alone.

I contemplated adding myself, but decided not to. I guess I'll have to find other ways to introduce the world to my domain of podcasting, blogging, ideas, and vision. Ha!
