Yahoo! "Sponsored Ads" Needs a Context Relevancy Engine:

I just visited the Videoblogging discussion list page on Yahoo! which includes a reference to FireAnt in the sentence: "Use FireAnt or mefeedia to subscribe to and watch other people's work. Don't forget to comment and link to the videos you like."

But what caught my attention were the ads at the bottom of the page.

Whaaaaat? No one mentioned the Marshall (Texas) Fireant Festival?

This has been an ongoing contextual ad punchline since we originally started with the name ANT (as in, "ANT's Not Television" -- only the geeks got the joke in the recursive acronym).

We'll have to improve our search engine marketing by buying up keywords, but then the pest control groups will be seeing ads for video blogs and podcasts... :-)
