“Blog-Tag” – A Game to Chart the Social Sculpture of the Blogosphere

Since my first post about blog-tag, hundreds of people (maybe thousands?) have participated in playing blog-tag. And each of the individual blog-tag related blog-postings shared a little something about the person behind the blog. This in turn has contributed to the social sculpture of the Blogosphere.

And while I had no idea how long the game would continue to be played, it is still being played today. In fact, in the past 24 hrs, some of the people who have joined the game include: Emily Chang, JAN's Space (Thailand), Aurel's Blog (France), spladplakao62 (Thailand), jipnaja (Thailand)

(At the moment it seems that "blog-tag" is pretty popular in the Thailand.)

I had no clue that the game that I started would spread out around the world across multiple languages. If you know someone who is into Blogosphere genealogy, it might be a fun project to track all of these relationships and map this evolving social sculpture.

Hello Jeff,

Thank you very much for your idea. The Blog-Tag game is terrific.

As a webmaster of GotoKnow.org and Learners.in.th, I've started this game since a week ago to bond current users and newcomers. And they all have been falling in love with this game. It really helps fostering online relationships.

Thanks a million,
Jan.

PS. http://GotoKnow.org is an online non-profit Thai knowledge management community. Whereas, http://Learners.in.th is an online non-profit Thai E-learning community.

I just got your comment on my blog and would love to know how you know I linked to your 'Blog Tag' post.

I think it a great idea to get to know who we read about, but never really get to know.

Thanks Jeff!
