Do you Twitter?
While Chris Brogan mentioned Twitter to me while we were at CES last month, which turned out to be a great way to monitor the pulse of both CES and MacWorld, I've only been on Twitter for the past 10 days.
It is true SMS traffic from Twitter can be at times a bit overwhelming. However, Twitter offers an easy way to be part of a "social mob" while at the same time being able to stay in direct contact with both friends, family and with people whom you may only know from their blogs. From my perspective, Twitter at times does contribute to the social sculpture of the internet. Perhaps not in each message received, but certainly on a day-to-day basis.
If you would like to give Twitter a try click here.
See you on Twitter.

Twitter is also a free way of sending SMS texts to your friends phone when you are in a foreign country.

Twitter has a lot more potential than people give it credit for. It's asynchronous multi-cast IM, which means you can use it for:
- microblogging, as CC Chapman and Chris Brogan like to say
- status updates
- questions
- instant focus group
- flash mob
- Digg.com team
Take your pick - but dig in. Twitter's got a lot to offer.

it's all about strategically sending some messages to your phone, while leaving others for the site. that helps me find it more manageable-- i hope you figure it out for yourself. :)
