twitter: CB Radio or Cheers?

There are times when I'm on twitter when it feels like I've just walked into the fictional bar Cheers, and other times like I'm back in the 70s talking on a CB Radio.

I hadn't seen C.C. Chapman's comments until I started to post, but I couldn't agree more. Speakling of Twitter 70s analogies, I have another "Twitter is..." analogy germinating but not ready for primetime Twittering. Thanks for letting me tweak through at deadline and putting me in the lineup. 10-4 Mrs. Met

I remember the days of talking on my grandfather's CB. You never knew who might drop in on the conversation.

I never thought about this analogy for Twitter, but it does fit.
