flickr - Great Tool for Post-event Networking.
During the past year and a half, I have found flickr to be a great resource to connect with people who attended the same conferences and events that I also attended but whom I did not always have an opportunity to directly communicate with, while at the event. (flickr is also a great way to connect with friends that you made at the event.)
The only "trick" is that you need to know the tag most associated with the event you attended. Simply search on the tag from the event and start your flickr post-event networking. :)
One flickr feature that I would love to see implemented would be the ability to perform a search say on VON07 and only see the unique list of people who are not already on my contact list.

Cool stuff.
It's on our product roadmap to leverage the flickr API to integrate event photos taken by event attendees into our event publishing and registration app. We have an open source flickr powered album that we plan to integrate.
Many attendees of our clients events upload photos to flickr. It'll be cool to aggregate them inside the event website. Then, people won't have to guess the tag. And more people will see them. Plus, photos sell events. That's the most popular page visited on our event websites after the date/time/location/description page.

This is a great idea!
I used the Flickr API and wrote a little script to implement this - give it a flickr username and a tag and it will find all the people who are not user's contacts. Check it out here: http://www.iosart.com/flickr-post-event-networking/

I agree. I love using Flickr to find what else people saw at the event. You can't be everywhere at the same time. Flickr makes it easier to manage.
Also, as you know, having put on big events, I'm finding that crowdsourcing the photography and buzz makes for more more vibrant collections of photos.
Great to have some official photos, but amazing how the unofficial snaps turn out, too. : )
