Just finished watching Heroes Episode 19
One frustrating part of my trip to Europe this week was that I missed watching the return of one of my favorite television shows, Heros. When visiting the NBC website from my hotel room in Stockholm, since my IP address was from outside of the United States, I was denied access to watch the show. I didn’t try purchasing the episode on iTunes, since my goal was to watch Heros the way I normally do when/if I miss an episode, rather than incur any costs. And while having access to a corporate VPN might have addressed my immediate issues, it wasn’t an option for me.
While I both understand and appreciate the need for NBC to protect the digital rights of their shows, as an American traveling abroad, one day I hope sites like NBC find a way to offer a “Passport” service for traveling Americans who want to keep up with their favorite television shows.

I need Tivo + SlingBox for the way I would prefer viewing the shows on the road. Vidalia sounds like something to try...

Jeff what about tivo or any of the other PVR's ??

jeff, try Vidalia next time you're abroad. it should anonymize your IP so they won't know when you're from. it worked for me one time with the MTV website, which does the same thing.
