Taking it to the Streets: Live Internet TV from the Drivers Seat
With my recent post about Personal Broadband Broadcasting Platforms on my mind, when I returned to my office yesterday, I decided to experiment with BlogTV from inside the pulverTV studio. This in turn lead to having some fun and I enjoyed having both Loïc Le Meur and Phil Campbell as my “slide-in” co-hosts, for an unplanned, unannounced edition of my own Internet TV show.
After the ad-hoc show, I took the liberty to try something different and decided to go mobile with my laptop and my Verizon EvDO card and to see if it I could do a live broadband broadcast from inside of my car while driving on the highway.
So…I took a short trip in my car and took my Sony Viao laptop equipped with a Verizon EvDO card, logged into blogTV, set up the laptop on my dashboard and started to drive. My friend Geo was the co-host and provided the color commentary and had the responsibility of holding everything together while I was driving. (I do not recommend doing this by yourself on the open road.).

While it not yet a perfect science, being able to broadcast live from the road to an immediate global audience was a very, very cool experience.
Thank you for watching. :)
