Catching up from “June Blur” – Tel Aviv / Stockholm / Chicago over Three Weeks:

There is a time in the days leading up to and during my VON events that I can feel like I am living in a “blur.” For me, VON Blur is a time when I get so consumed in all the things going on around me that I’m not able to stay current on email and/or in any of the online communities I am active in. It is a moment when I get transported from living on the Net back to the days before I knew about the Internet .It is a time when my blogging slows down to almost a halt since I don’t have much time available to think clearly about anything. Yet it is a time that I have learned to cherish.

Now imagine this happening beyond a period of a few days and extending across a few connected weeks. This is what most of June, 2007 has been like for me. From the time I arrived in Tel Aviv on June 3rd to the time I left for New York from Chicago on June 20th it felt like one continuous blur. During this time I spent quality time in three cities, met with some pretty amazing people, spoke at and attended numerous events and I also somehow found the time to host social events in three cities.

The week that I spent in Israel was an amazing one for me on multiple levels. Challenging due to the blur that was happening around me but amazing based on the people and companies that I met with, including a few very exciting pre-seed companies. For me, every day was another adventure. I look forward to continuing the adventure when I return to Tel Aviv in July.

Now that I’m back in New York I am doing my best trying to relax a little and catch up with life for awhile…
