iPhone Refusniks Tom Evslin and Fred Wilson Offer Bounty for iPhone to be Hacked:
Both Tom Evslin and Fred Wilson are offering a bounty for an cracked Apple iPhone which would work with any SIM card. Tom would also like to see the iPhone configured with a working SIP client.
And I find myself adding to their offer by offering the person and/or team who pull this off visability at Fall 2007 VON.

Methinks the bounty is not nearly as interesting as the publicity and exposure to be gained by cracking the iPhone...though if they up the amount by $100 at least the cracker will be able to cover their materials costs... ;-)

500 bucks? You tightwads. I wouldn't sell you my Myspace password for that, and I don't even use it :)

Hell, we'll throw down with you. US$500 bounty from the Financial Aid Podcast if you can not only unlock it, but you publish the complete tools and methodology needed under the GPL or Creative Commons By-NC-SA 3.0 US license no later than October 26, 2007.
