Jerusalem ROCKS!: International Music Festival bringing: The Black Eyed Peas, The Commitments and more to Israel on September 9th

Jerusalem ROCKS! is a non-profit festival I have been working on for about 16 months with my friends Jacob Ner-David and Carmi Wurtman and is now a reality and will be taking place on September 9th at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem ROCKS! is focused on bringing international musical events back to Jerusalem. The people of Jerusalem have been waiting over twenty years for an event like this and we feel that it is important for Jerusalem to remind its citizens, neighbors and the world that it is a center of pluralism and cultural diversity.

In 2006, The Black Eyed Peas visited Israel for the first time. Their concert was a resounding success as they sold out their show almost two months before their arrival. Immediately afterward, international press picked up the story of how much they enjoyed being in Israel and their promise to return. That promise is now a reality: not only are they coming back with their full show – but Fergie will also perform songs from her debut solo album, “The Dutchess,” which has sold millions worldwide and has had 4 consecutive top 5 singles. In case this isn’t enough, we will be honored to be among the first to hear live songs from Black Eyed Peas front man, will.i.am’s solo release due to hit stores on September 25th.

And my friends, The Commitments together as well as several Israeli musical artists will also be a part of the show.

At this time I am looking for bloggers from both Israel and from around the world who would like to cover the show and help us promote the event. If you are interested in joining the blogging team for Jerusalem ROCKS! please email: jeffp@pulver.com and introduce yourself.

Earlier today news about Jerusalem ROCKS! was picked up by the Israeli media and covered in the following sites: Jerusalem Post, ynet, walla, mooma and nana10

Jeff,

This sounds like a fantastic opportunity. I am going to look into the likely hood of attending. How about the possibility of JumptV streaming the concert live world wide? Would love to speak with you and mr shafrir about it
