Today's Question of the Day: Does YOUR mobile phone have a Camera?
Today's Question of the Day comes from Dr. Question who asks: "Does your mobile phone have a camera, and if so, do you use it? If you use the camera, how often and in what circumstances are you most likely to use it?"

I know I'm way behind but Yes my mobile has a camera, and I use the crap out of it. I wish it took better video.

Yes. Although quality is not good, sometime it can come in very handy to capture unusual moments – something like this

My SonyEricsson K800 Cybershot has a 3.2 MPixel camera and a real flash. Thus it takes photos worth the name photos.
Mostly I use to photos to publish on my photo-blog. Which I easily can do directly from the phone through GPRS.

Yep, Cingular 8525 (otherwise known as HTC Hermes), has a 2megapixel camera which I thought would have been better than it really is (very poor under low light conditions)
.....but captures the appropriate snap when in the right place, I've got a few candid photos up on my blog that I've taken while out in public www.collins.net.pr/blog
Cheers,
Dean

I have a t-mobile MDA Vario (aka a HTC Wizard)it has a camera on it but it's absolutely pants. I never use it - ever.
I've used it for video a couple of times though..

Yes, all the time. I have 2 little girls who are constantly doing cute things I don't want to miss. Unfortunately I end up with a lot of low quality pics of my daughters. But I am just not willing to carry my $200 digital canon around with me all the time.

I have a Treo - it's got a camera but the quality isnt' the best. I love the video function though, you never know when you're going to need to take a video of something!

And my answer:

I use a BlackBerry Pearl. *One* of the reasons I have the Pearl is that it has a camera. I wish it did movies, but I'm happy I have snaps.

yeah, it's one of my favorite things about my iphone. quality isn't bad at all and better than the Bberry Curve (my last phone which I may switch back to. I miss wireless calender sync). photos from both devices are on my flickr stream here:

My phone has a camera but the quality is too poor for printouts or even email, so I only use it for sending to another mobile phone where someone will view the picture on a tiny screen. Or for those occasional moments when you've just got to take a picture but you don't have a camera....

The Nokia N91 has a 2 MP camera which takes uninspiring pictures.

Sony Ericsson W810i, it's got a fairly decent 2 megapixel camera. It's a lot better than the one in my first camera phone, Sony Ericsson T610, which basically just guessed what it was taking a photo of and did an artists approximation of it.
The reason I have it is because it's impossible to get a decent cell phone without camera. If there was one I would buy it.
I do take some pictures from time to time though, which I would never do otherwise since I don't own a real camera and wouldn't remember to bring it if I had. So that's one reason to have one, I always have it with me so it's easy to just take a few photos from time to time if I want to. I tried doing some photo moblogging, but the available solutions were to cumbersome, so I really never got into it.

I use it form time to time though I don't count it for high quality photos and certainly not a replacement for my digicam.
I currently have a Nokia E65 with a Shozu (http://www.shozu.com/portal/) application installed and pointing to a Picasaweb album.
Each picture I shoot is uploaded automatically to my web album using this app.

My unlocked Treo 680 has a camera that takes decent 640 x 480 pictures. The camera ahs a 2x "zoom" which helps in taking detail at a close range. I take pictures with it every once in a while and have posted some on my blog.
It is nowhere near the quality of my Sony digital cameras, but if I wanted that I would get an unlocked Sony Ericcson phone!
How about you Jeff?

I love my Nokia 6275, all the pictures and videos on my blog - http://mokshjuneja.blogspot.com, which are shot by me, of course. have been shot my camera phone. Tranfer the files with bluetooth capability. It so much fun... using technology to one's advantage.

Yes my Camera has a mobile attached, if you look at the flickr stream pretty much the last 6 months of images have been Sony Ericcson p990i fodder.
