Kathryn Jones shares her Life Lessons on pulverTV:

On Tuesday, September 11th, Internet TV Pioneer Kathryn Jones was our in-studio guest at pulverTV. I invited Kathryn to visit our show so she could talk about her new Internet TV show, “35”, and the work involved in the creation and production of the first LIVE scripted Internet TV Drama. Her show “35” will be available for viewing over at Synchronis.tv. We also enjoyed the company of Craig Plunkett who was our “in-studio audience guest.”

Kathryn Jones describes 35 as a: "edgy (NC-17), compelling, character rich, plot driven, and scripted” show which will be broadcast LIVE over the internet over at Synchronis.tv. Her show will be filmed using three Panasonic DVX100's and switched live using a Tricaster on loan from pulverTV. pulverTV’s Andrew Lipson is also a member of her team.

The first episode of 35 will be airing on Wednesday September 19th at 9pm ET.

Moments before we went live, I was contacted by BlogTV about their new Facebook application and as things turned out, pulverTV was the first show to broadcast live on BlogTV from inside of Facebook, while simultaneously also broadcasting on Operator 11 and UStream. Living on the edge of technology innovation does have its benefits at times. :)

And while Kathryn did speak about her show, the inspiration behind it and the work she has been involved with in the creation of Synchronis.tv, what I enjoyed the most from our conversation were the life lessons Kathryn shared during the course of our interview. I enjoyed the opportunity of having an open conversation with Kathryn on camera and the information which flowed as a result of it.

In fact, immediately after the show, David Finch sent me the following message:

Jeff, just wanted to say today's show was incredible. The conversation between yourself and Kathryn was thought provoking and inspiring. Kathryn made three statements that can be life changing if anyone would grasp them.

1. “No one is going to help me but me.
2. “The internet is where you greenlight yourself.
3. “You have to make yourself an expert.

Thanks Jeff, I'm totally stoked!

It is viewer feedback from people like David which makes me want to commit more time to doing live shows from the pulverTV studios. I share David’s sentiments with regard to Kathryn’s comments.

The archives of the conversation with Kathryn are available below. Our next pulverTV broadcast will be taking place on Tuesday, September 18th at 2pm ET/ 20:00 CET.

Jeff,
Terrific interview. I learned a lot, especially business models. Nothing like staking out new territory. Sort of like the Wild West. What will one build out on the internet "land" to add value?

Hey Jeff,

Great stuff. I interviewed Kathryn on my live internet video talkshow yesterday the day after you interviewed her. So she's doing the talk show circuit! I enjoyed your interview of her. The whole biz dev aspect of it was particularly interesting to me.

Jeff, is that 9pm Eastern? Want to put it on my calendar so I don't forget.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the link to my interview with Kathryn on Vlog Soup.

I met Kathryn at Podcamp Philly last weekend and was totally impressed by the energy she bring to the online video space.

David Finch nails it when he excerpts her comments from your show.

Kathryn has immersed her self in the online, blogging, podcasting, vlogging, twittering world and reached out to others by attending meetings and conferences to learn all about what's going on.

I love the fact that SHE is doing it herself and not leaving it to others.

She is becoming an expert and I'm happy to have her as a friend.
