innovid closes 3 million dollar round lead by Genesis Partners

Congrats to the innovid team for closing this round of funding.

I was an early believer in innovid and provided the initial "early-early stage" seed capital for innovid, a company co-founded by Zvika Netter and Tal Chalozin. Others members of the team include Yuval Tal and Zack Zigdon. I know Zvika, Tal and Yuval from their on-going activity at Garage Geeks, a place which supports the Israeli Hi-Tech industry and is a place where people can be found getting involved in a wide range of digital arts, design and technology projects.

Tal and Yuval were my guests at Fall 2007 VON where they brought the Guitar Heronid from Garage Geeks to showcase at VON.

“Innovid provides a platform that enables the seamless injection of targeted interactive objects into predefined virtual real-estate within the physical space of a video scene.

Their patent pending technology allows the injection of interactive, creative objects ranging from advertisements and virtual product placement to wild creative expansions of the video content, story and characters.

If implemented as designed, there should be no "name" calling at the TDC positions. On a serious note, hopefully all airport locations fully understand there is no SOP changes in TDC procedure...Go-No-Go decisions will be made prior to boarding pass printing.
