Good Morning Atlanta!
At 8AM today I will be at Anthony's Fine Dining in Atlanta to host "Breakfast with Jeff Pulver (and friends) in Atlanta", the only breakfast known for "Real-Time Social Tagging."
I'm looking forward to hosting this breakfast and catching up with my friends from the greater Atlanta area.
This is the second of two breakfasts I am hosting this week. Next week I will be hosting a similar breakfast in Tel Aviv.
For more details, and to RSVP for a future breakfast, please take another look at this blog post.

When is anybody in the conservative media going to give any thought to doing a story or talking about any artist out there who is not a screaming liberal? I just sent the Drudge Report a note about the June 4th story about the Boston art exhibit about Clinton and Obama with the word in the title of the show that reads "assassination". Everyone always covers left leaning sensationalism in the arts, but I never hear about those of us who are trying to point out the opposite, even if it's misinterpreted, as was my piece last year, "FfOoRrMhUaLtAe."
My name is Alvaro Alvillar and I had to defend myself against charges of racism and the promoting of hate at a forum that was initiated by Mayor Shirley Franklin in Atlanta. Even though the piece stated the obvious point that the only form of prejudice that is openly tolerated these days is that which is directed at white males. In fact, when I read a prepared statement at the beginning of the forum that was meant to leave no doubt about my love of country, that's when those who thought I was a radical Latin subversive suddenly lost interest in me. So they covered the forum without mention of my statement or what I stood for and moved on and the story died. That wouldn't be so bad if there was some interest from those of you who complain about the lack of art that is positive about us. We're human, so both good and bad exist, but for the most part, the negative I try to point out is about what’s wrong in our culture and who bears the greater burden for that? It asks you to take a look at yourself, where you stand and what you do about it? We are all in this together.
Although my work is well received when shown and FfOoRrMhUaLtAe” might have been the single most talked about and controversial work of art to have come out of Atlanta, I have been shunned by the Atlanta art community (galleries) and have gone elsewhere for representation. I will be having a solo show this September in Nashville, Tennessee and it will be interesting to see if it (the show) even gets up when it becomes clear that the message will not be a promotion for the candidates of that tired old line of "change and hope".
Apparently Atlanta is not ready for art that promotes debate or that does not lean left and I'm beginning to believe that talk radio and other conservative media aren't interested either. Unless of course it slams conservatives, then you circle the wagons and wind up making a sensation out of the artist. And quite frankly, you guys could at least do what you ask those on the left to do...get your facts straight.
I am a fan of Neal Boortz and a defender of the Fair Tax and even though I did not catch it, I heard he came down pretty hard on me and my piece. The only explanation I have is that he rushed to judgement and did not do his homework. Although I disagree with him on some issues, I still think he's a hero and I continue to be a fan. I could use some help! It's not like people know we're here and we're raking it in. Based on some feedback I received, I am not the only artist who bases his opinion on facts and the issues, to the best of my ability to do so and not on whether it’s a left or right thing.
You guys are doing yourselves a disservice by not tapping into work that will have a voice long after we forget who the current talk show hosts are.

It's time we all stood together in this fight to save are great country!
Thank you, Alvaro
