Travel Times Across America vs. Europe

Last night I took an evening flight from Miami to Los Angeles. While flying to LA I was thinking about the amount of time it takes for someone in the States to travel across the country vs. the amount of time it takes my friends in Europe to travel across Europe.

Friends in Europe who travel by plane within Europe can get to just about any major European city in about 3 hours or less. In fact it takes only a little more than 5 hours to fly from London to Tel Aviv. In the US it takes 3 hours to just get from NY to Miami and 6 hours to go from NY to LA.

I am looking forward for the day when US Airlines will be offering unrestricted Internet Access on airplanes. At least this way there is a chance some of us can be more productive while traveling cross-country.

Exactly! America is so big! When I was flying from Portland Maine to LA it seemed that crossing the ocean would be even faster. Now I live in Prague, and work in a hotel.there are tons of them here (http://www.prague-hotels.org.uk/) and traveling to any city is so quick and easy
