One of the Reasons Why I Host Breakfast Events:
During the past few months, I have lost track of the number of people who have asked me “Why I decided to host breakfasts in 16 cities around the world?” Other than having a gut feeling that it was the right thing to do, at times I also questioned my rational for making the effort to fly around the world to host these breakfasts.
And then a few days ago, I received a message from my friend Melanie “Savvy Auntie” Notkin whose message below is my inspiration for producing more breakfasts in the near future.
“Hi Jeff,
So much has gone on since the launch of Savvy Auntie [last] Wednesday. And I realize, so much of it is indirectly because of you and the Pulver Social Media Breakfasts.
Because of the people I have met at those Breakfasts, my site is more successful than it would have been otherwise. It was at a Breakfast that Adam Hirsch told me he would be glad to do a story on SA when it launched (and he did). same with Dave Berkowitz. Last night, a number of people I had met at your Breakfasts came to celebrate my launch at my party. The list goes on and on.... so Thank You. You've helped me out in a number of very significant ways. You should be aware.
...
There are so many more people in my Village the I met through your breakfasts who helped build my success. Those are just a few.
Please don't stop... I don't go to many networking events. I don't have the time. But because this one is so niched and the people are so wonderful, it's hard to think about missing one...
Best,
Auntie Melanie”

Melanie’s comments gave me an answer to the question: "Why do I host these breakfasts?"
In business, not everything we do needs to be in support of a business model. Sometimes we do the things we do because it makes us feel good. And if we can help others along the way, then so much the better.

Hey Jeff - I must say, it's really nice to see someone who has the ability, connections, and mind set to make a difference actually take the lead and do something innovative like your breakfast meetings!
Thanks, and keep up the tremendous work you are doing.
