Momentum for SocComm is Building...
This week I have been enjoying reading the first wave of speaking proposals received from the open “Call for Speakers” I posted for SocComm: The Social Communications Summit taking place February 10-11, 2009 in New York City.
I’d like to acknowledge a number of friends who have helped to spread the word about SocComm:
Andy Abramson: Pulver Goes Social
Dameon D. Welch-Abernathy (a.k.a. “PhoneBoy”): Jeff Pulver Is Starting Another Revolution: SocComm
Ken Camp and Sheryl Breuker: SocComm / The Social Communications Summit - February 10-11 2009 in New York City
Doug Mohney: SPOTLIGHT: Jeff Pulver's one degree of Obama separation - o.k. this had nothing to do with SocComm but it was Doug’s way of saying hi. And it was appreciated. :)

I believe that SocComm will represent a gathering of people that collectively will help define a new industry. The industry of Social Communications as defined the members of the: “MICE” space (Media / Internet / Communications / Entertainment) industries who will be joining us in February in New York City. Based on the pitches I have received so far, SocComm is shaping up to be a pretty amazing event.
I would greatly appreciate it if my friends who are also bloggers could find a way to mention SocComm in their blogs and encourage their readers to pitch me to be added to the conference schedule. The deadline for speaking proposals is: December 5th. I would also appreciate any help that contributes to building the awareness about SocComm.
SocComm 2009 will be taking place February 10-11 in New York City. I look forward to your involvement.
(special thanks to Yotam Troim for the logo design)

This is exciting, and I think I may have freed up my schedule/budget, so look for en email. I am still writing the Social Media Jungle wrap up posts (lots of info to mash together) and I'll be sure to link up and talk about this and CES in them as well. You inspire.
